STYRENE & STYRENE
Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene
Rigid, opaque, glossy tough, good low temperature properties,
good dimensional stability and easily electroplated, low creep.
TCL Types Available: Standard; High Impact; Transparent Grades
SAN, the predecessor of ABS is a hard rigid transparent material.
The transmittance in the visible range is greater than 90% therefore
it is easily coloured, it is also resistant to thermal shock and
has a good chemical resistance.
TCL Types Available: Standard and Food Approved.
Acrylonitrile Styrene Acrylate
ASA is an acrylate rubber modified styrene acrylonitrile copolymer
with an acrylate rubber modifier included at the polymerisation
stage. Good chemical resistance and excellent resistance to weathering,
ageing and yellowing therefore it is often used in applications
which involve exposure to extreme conditions.
TCL Types Available: Injection and Extrusion Natural and Coloured
Styrene Butadiene Copolymer
SBC, these high clarity, durable copolymers offer a balance of
performance and economics that bridge the gap between high cost,
clear engineering polymers and low cost, commodity resins.
TCL Types Available: Injection and Extrusion Grades with Food
and Medical approvals.
